MODAPTS, short for Modular Arrangement of Predetermined Time Standards, is a concise and systematic language used to describe work tasks or activities in terms of their sequence of body movements. In MODAPTS, all time measurements are multiples of 0.129 seconds, known as MODs.
Unlike other standards like MTM and MOST, MODAPTS uses MODs as its basic unit of measurement. Each task is represented by a code consisting of a letter and an integer, where the integers correspond to MODs that can be summed to determine the total time for the task.
